University of Split

The University of Split is the second university by size in Croatia, encompasses nine faculties and one academy, two university colleges and four departments. Several scientific and research institutes are functionally linked with the University of Split. The University of Split is both student and research oriented. The primary emphasis of scientific research carried out by the University is in areas and disciplines which concentrate on the ecological, cultural-historical, medical, social, economic and other characteristics of the region. Through the Centre for the Improvement of the Quality the University has developed the basic tools for quality teaching, the conditions of study and academic environment.
